![]() ![]() ![]() sending switch, fuel injector temp sending switch, fuel filter, leaky throttle body bellows, or bad fuel.Įvery single one of those items listed are all brand new, with less than 50 miles on them.Įven though the fuel pressure regulator is also brand new, I’m suspecting that to be part of or all of the problem.Īny and all ideas are welcome, thanks in advance as always…… ICV, O2 sensor, DME/ECU, main & fuel pump relays, Injectors, fuel pump, leaks, leaky hoses, battery, throttle body, throttle switch, spark plugs, spark plug wires, rotor & cap, coil, temp. The pump is the right one, and it's brand new.ĪFM/MAF. I replaced the fuel pump today as at first I thought it was a faulty fuel pump but that didn’t solve it. The other part to this is that, if I pull the breather hose off (that runs from the fuel pressure regulator to the manifold) of the nipple coming out of the manifold she’ll run a little longer before she shuts off.īut if I attempt to put the breather hose back on the nipple you can actually hear the sucking sound of air as the car wants to stumble and shut off. I think it’s some sort of vapor lock problem, and I think it has something to do with either the fuel pressure regulator (which is spanking brand new) or the manifold pressure. ![]() Once I put the line back on, she’ll start right back up and repeat the process of idling fine for a minute or two and then shut down. (no hesitations)ġ to 2 minutes of idling though and she shuts down, and if I take the fuel line back off of the fuel pressure regulator, there is a significant amount of pressure that is built up and fuel will literally explode as I’m taking the fuel line off. Once she starts she’ll idle perfect and rev perfect when I give her gas. The car will start fine if it’s been sitting for a day or so or if I take the fuel hose off of the fuel pressure regulator to release the built up pressure. I have a fuel pressure / vapor lock / fuel delivery problem that just reared it’s ugly head. The stumbling is over and she’s running great…………………….when she’s running. ![]()
